Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., a multi-office national defense firm, is currently seeking a Legal Assistant with 4+ years of experience to join our Orlando office, supporting attorneys handling general liability litigation. About the Role
This position is ideal for a legal assistant with a strong background in automotive liability defense. The successful candidate will support attorneys in managing a high-volume caseload, ensuring deadlines are met and files are accurately maintained. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in all phases of general liability litigation
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Organize and maintain case files (physical and electronic), ensuring accuracy and accessibility
- Manage attorney calendars, track court deadlines, and coordinate scheduling
- Assist with discovery, including organizing medical records, accident reports, and insurance documents
- Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel
- Assist with preparation for depositions, mediations, and trial, including organizing exhibits and materials
- Handle Florida State and Federal E-Filing procedures
- Monitor case progress and follow up on outstanding items
- Assist with time entry and billing as needed
Qualifications
- 4+ years of legal assistant experience in civil litigation
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures and court rules in Florida
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism and discretion
