Gunderson Dettmer is seeking a highly organized and resourceful individual to join our team as a Legal Administrative Assistant in our Austin office. The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide a wide range of hands-on and administrative support to attorneys and paralegals who work with some of the most dynamic companies in tech. We are looking for a self-starter who can problem solve and think on their feet.
Job Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of Administrative, Hospitality/Reception, and Office Services duties, including greeting clients and guests, scheduling conference rooms, coordinating catering, conference room setup, office supply management, answering phones, and mail handling.
Assist with new client intake, attorney time entry, calendar management, travel arrangements, and expense reimbursements.
Create, format, revise, and edit legal documents.
Document handling, including printing, scanning, copying, and filing.
Organize and maintain filing in accordance with firm procedures and standards.
Work in conjunction with Office Coordinator and other administrative personnel to ensure the needs of the legal team and office are met.
Job Requirements
Minimum of one year of legal administrative assistant or legal secretary experience.
Ability to effectively handle shifting priorities and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal, written (grammar, spelling, format) and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization and demonstrate a team-oriented work style.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and document conversion applications, such as Kofax Power PDF or Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Experience working with HP/Autonomy iManage or other document management system.
Demonstrated problem solving skills.
Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
Adherence to maintaining confidential and sensitive information and display sound judgment.
Ability to work overtime.
This role will require an in office work presence
Educational Requirements
BS/BA degree.
