Summary:

We're looking for a learning experience designer (LXD) to help craft engaging courses, certification paths, videos, and other types of learning experiences for our DFIN clients and internal teams. You'll collaborate with SME’s and facilitators to design content and an engaging user experience that helps support important metrics like adoption and retention. This role requires creativity, innovation, and knowledge of adult learning concepts to develop, enhance, and continually improve self-paced, and virtual experiences. The Learning Experience Designer will have strong organizational skills to scope, design, develop, launch and analyze the effectiveness of learning content.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement and maintain an intuitive and easy to navigate client certification program in our new Learning Management System.
  • Use technology to enhance the learning experience, including video, audio, simulations, and gamification to create an immersive and interactive learning experience across a variety of audiences, roles, tasks, skills, and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop content in alignment with learning goals and user engagement.
  • Assist in the design and administration of a Learning Management System to create an engaging learning experience that drives users to come back for more.
  • Work as part of our Client Enablement team to ensure a consistent experience across all our SaaS offerings.
  • Assess the needs of the learners using learning design theories and instructional design models to determine the best way to create a learning experience.
  • Leverage data analytics to inform content development, drive user adoption, and enhance client retention.
  • Manages a detailed project plan to effectively organize content and deliverables in a logical and intuitive manner and prioritize work based on business needs and pivot when organizational needs require it.
  • Conduct evaluations to measure learning effectiveness, gathering insights through various feedback mechanisms to continuously enhance our offerings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in instructional design, instructional technology, adult learning, or a similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years in learning experience design and instructional design within a fast-paced SaaS environment or commercial products.
  • Proven track record in developing client certification programs, employing gamification and digital credentialing
  • 2+ years of program or project management experience (nice to have).
  • A sample portfolio demonstrating strong user experience and visual design skills.
  • Administrative experience with a LMS such as Skilljar, Thought Industries, Northpass, or equivalent.
  • Expertise using a variety of design, training development, content creation and editing tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia and equivalent tools as well as web conferencing tools such as Zoom and Teams.
