Learning and knowledge management internship: impact analysis of knowledge management challenges
Introduction
With the launch of the ASML Academy, we have the opportunity to build a learning organization that will serve and develop the company and everyone within it. To do so, we have a fantastic team of people who need to stay ahead of the curve. The re-use factory is in the middle of our production, providing valuable recycled resources back to the service and manufacturing processes. They have a lot of insight in to the challenges being faced through gaps and issues in knowledge management related practices (such as accurate, relevant complete documentation, quality of knowledge transfers, effectiveness of feedback loops, prioritization for simplification and standardization).
Your assignment
The purpose of this project is to select one or two of the key challenges being faced, and carry out research to assess the financial impact they have on the organization, and the effect the challenges have on cycle time and availability of our machines. This is to build a strong business case for making improvements that can be supported with a clear financial and productivity/effectiveness measures.
Key deliverables include: A business case that shows the negative impact of the identified knowledge management challenges. This impact to be demonstrated in terms of cost impact (value lost in extra work/rework, time wasted) and potentially impact on cycle time/customer fab down time of our machines.
This is a master apprentice or graduation internship for minimum 4 months, for 4 to 5 days per week (3 days onsite). The start date of this internship is as soon as possible.
Your profile
To be the perfect match for this internship, you:

Are a bachelor or master student in Learning & Development, Knowledge Management, (organizational) Psychology, Social Sciences or Organizational development;

Preferably have some experience in a corporate environment;

Have an analytical mindset and have preferably Microsoft Excel skills;

Have great communication skills, are pro-active and are able to work independently.
Other requirements you need to meet

You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
