Position: Lean Management Specialist
Location: Singapore
Report to: Manager, Gene Production Operations, Singapore
Position Summary
- Responsible for the planning and implementation of the Lean Manufacturing system in the gene synthesis/production department.
- Promote the application of lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, VSM (Value Stream Mapping), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in laboratory and production processes.
- Analyze bottlenecks and waste throughout the production process, leading efficiency improvement projects (e.g., reducing TAT, improving OEE, lowering costs).
- Drive process standardization, modularization, and automation optimization.
- Identify problems and propose improvement plans, regularly track improvement results, and promote continuous optimization.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, supply chain, and other teams to drive end-to-end optimization, supporting process design and lean optimization during new product/new process introduction.
- Organize training on lean tools and methods (e.g., basic Lean Six Sigma training), cultivate internal lean talents within the team, and promote the implementation of lean concepts.
- Actively cooperate with the work related to internal cooperation of the team, and deliver the required work results in a timely manner
- Comply with company and laboratory safety-related rules and regulations and confidentiality systems, and complete other job-related tasks as arranged by superior(s)
- Provide operational support for the department, including claims administration, manpower and timesheet consolidation, records and documentation management, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, or related fields.
- Possess data analysis skills, proficient in operating Office, Visio, and other software, with strong problem analysis and solving abilities.
- Possesses certain planning, organizational, communication, and coordination skills, with clear logical thinking.
- Possess a result-oriented and continuous improvement mindset.
- Good proficiency in both Chinese and English communication (required for cross-regional collaboration)
