Who are we looking for?

Re:Build Composite Resources is seeking a Lean Engineer to support and lead efforts in driving operational excellence across our Rock Hill, SC facility. This role is a key member of our engineering and operations team, focused on delivering process innovation, control, and continuous improvement across all facets of the business. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, data-driven, and passionate about applying Lean and Six Sigma principles to create lasting impact and foster a culture of sustainable change.

What you get to do!

  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as 5S, A3, visual management, standard work, Kanban, and waste reduction strategies
  • Facilitate Kaizen and improvement events to drive gains in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity
  • Create process layouts and job instructions that support lean flow and optimized operations
  • Lead projects that improve process capability through variation reduction, error-proofing, and statistical process control
  • Map and document processes, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective action plans
  • Collect and analyze operational data to drive data-informed decision making
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis on proposed process changes and track return on investment
  • Train and coach multi-functional teams on Lean principles, tools, and methodologies
  • Support Value Stream Mapping and long-term value stream transformation plans
  • Ensure sustainment of improvements through auditing, coaching, and documented standards
  • Collaborate multi-functionally to align continuous improvement goals with business strategy
  • Support Re:Build’s culture of integrity, trust, ownership, and high ethical standards in all interactions

What you will bring to the Team

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience applying Lean methodologies in a production setting
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • Self-starter with a collaborative approach and a passion for continuous learning and improvement
