Job Description:
We are looking for a visionary and resourceful League Commissioner that will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all our esports events & tournaments. You will be coordinating our existing team of Tournament Admins and be responsible for online and offline tournaments for various esports titles, taking place in PGL Studios or around the world
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing tournaments & making sure that the tournament rules are being followed
- Coordinating the Tournament Admins team
- Assist with building schedules for tournaments and leagues
- Assist with building scoring systems, prize-pool breakdowns, formats, etc.
- Assist with creating sets of rules and regulations for different tournaments or leagues
- Attend and monitor tournaments & events
- Maintain standings
- Recommend disciplinary action against coaches, teams or players as required
- Assist in creating and distributing updated event information to participating players and teams
- Communicate and manage relationships with publishers, organizations, team managers, players, etc.
- Compile event data and maintain a database for events and leagues
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Passion for video games & esports
- A positive and problem-solving attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
- High proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Google Drive - Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms
- Advance knowledge regarding at least one of the following titles - Dota 2, CS: GO, FIFA 20, Apex Legends, GEARS 5
- Knowledge of esports tournaments formats & structures
- Flexibility to travel abroad for events and work varying hours, including nights or weekends.
