Role Overview
As Lead Web Strategist, you’ll own the development and execution of web strategies and CRO initiatives that directly impact client growth. You’ll lead a talented team of UX designers, collaborate across teams, and ensure that every project delivers measurable results. This role combines leadership, strategy, and hands-on execution to refine processes and scale Tuff’s web services.
About You
- You’ve led multiple large-scale website projects, driving measurable improvements in conversion rates, traffic, and engagement.
- You’re an expert in UX/UI design and web strategy, creating user-first experiences that deliver meaningful business results.
- You’re fluent in tools like Google Analytics, Unbounce, and Hotjar, using them to track and improve outcomes.
- You’ve successfully led teams and collaborated with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver web projects on time and on budget.
- You communicate insights and strategies clearly, building trust and alignment with clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Web Strategy and CRO Execution: Develop and implement strategies to improve user experience and drive measurable growth, owning CRO initiatives from ideation to execution.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration: Manage and mentor a team of UX designers, fostering cross-functional collaboration to deliver cohesive, high-quality web projects.
- Client Collaboration: Partner with clients and internal teams to align strategies with business goals, presenting clear, actionable insights that build trust.
- Performance Analysis: Use tools like Google Analytics and Hotjar to analyze performance, turning data into actionable strategies to improve key metrics.
- Process Optimization: Refine and scale workflows to ensure efficient delivery of high-quality web projects across diverse clients.
- Trend Awareness and Innovation: Stay ahead of UX, CRO, and web trends, implementing new tools and methodologies to continuously improve services.
- Sales Support: Partner with the sales team to develop scopes, budgets, and timelines, clearly articulating the value of Tuff’s web services.
Required Experience & Skills
- 6+ years of experience in web strategy, CRO, or a related field, ideally within a growth marketing or agency environment.
- Expertise in managing complex web projects, including landing pages, sign-up flows, and A/B testing.
- Proficiency with tools like GA4, Hotjar, Unbounce, Webflow, and Mixpanel.
- Experience leading teams and collaborating across functions to deliver impactful web projects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate insights into compelling strategies that drive alignment.
- A proactive, results-driven mindset with a focus on experimentation and continuous improvement.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript to collaborate effectively with developers.
- Experience with eCommerce platforms and dynamic ad solutions to drive CRO improvements for retail-focused clients.
- Working knowledge of SEO principles and their intersection with CRO.
- Experience in business development or supporting sales efforts for web-related services.

The starting salary range for this role is $104,000 - $124,000. *Applicants must be based in the United States. #usremote
