What you will do:
- Develop and enact product roadmap to bring fully autonomous driving technologies to market. Understand customer desires, business goals, operational constraints, regulatory requirements and technical feasibility to properly define product features and scope of engineering development, set priorities for AV engineering teams
- Develop insights from operation data, real-world performance and simulation to drive work prioritization, continuous improvement, and system robustness
- Develop strategies for new ODD expansion and fleet scale-up, balance user experience, operational efficiency and scalability with feature development timing and cost
- Develop Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) for system level AV features and behaviors, especially related to new ODD expansion and operation efficiency and scalability
- Own end-to-end delivery of AV features from feature design to validation by closely collaborating with engineering and systems teams
- Work with engineering tech leads to set up development priorities and quarterly plan for execution
- Support product verification & validation, safety case development, and regulatory approval processes
- Lead internal reviews and external discussions with customers and regulators, clearly communicate product features, capabilities and system performance boundaries, short to long term roadmaps, and risk management strategies
- Function as a lead individual contributor at the beginning, build up the PMT team as business needs grow
Requirements:
- 5+ years PMT experience, proven ability to break down complex systems into clearly defined, testable, and scalable product requirements
- Experience working on AV, Robotics, or products that utilize Machine Learning or AI, with direct involvement in architecture, development, validation, and regulatory compliance
- Experience balancing priorities across a complex set of requirements and constraints, structured and systems-level thinking with the ability to translate technical, regulatory, and user requirements into a coherent product roadmap
- Exposure to fleet operations and data feedback loops in AV or robotics industries
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to drive alignment across highly technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Fluent Chinese (Mandarin) is a must
- Flexibility to work with teams in different time zones
