The Position:
ADI Aerospace Defense and Communications Business Unit is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead, direct and oversee end to end HW & SW products in support of customer programs. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional development teams from design through product delivery. This role will be accountable for driving the entire project lifecycle, from product definition through specification, development, quality assurance, production, and launch to the world. Cross-team coordination, project management, and executive presentation skills are essential.
Advanced Data Convertors group’s (ADG) platform products use a wide range of technologies from RF transceivers to ultra-wideband RF converters and cover broad market applications with many customers. These software defined platforms are complex SoC’s and utilize state-of-the-art RF/mixed-signal technology, digital signal processing and software infrastructures.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Work closely with functional stakeholders such as System, HW & SW Engineering, and Applications to develop a clear definition of programs that meets customer requirements and internal company goals.
- You will be accountable for driving the entire project lifecycle, from product definition through specification, development (hardware and software), quality assurance, production, and go-to-market activities.
- Develop release plans for programs with discipline leads that incorporates building and maintaining a schedule, staffing plan, risk analysis and mitigation plan and budget in support of program goals.
- Oversee the successful execution of the plan:
- Manage the program bounding box; schedule, scope, budget and staffing
- Continually evaluate program risks and take appropriate action to mitigate.
- Work closely with staff and functional team leads to ensure program deliverables and internal and external dependencies are being met.
- Coordinate the day-to-day program activities, priorities, meetings and communications ensuring alignment across cross functional teams while optimizing performance at a program level.
- Serve as the focal point for project communications to senior management. Compile regular program status for all stakeholders and effectively escalate critical issues and risks as necessary.
- Ensure the program is developed in compliance with specified internal, company customer or industry standards, processes, and procedures.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by ensuring post-release lessons learned activities for the program are completed
- Serve as a champion for advancing Project Management best practices and new methodologies within the BU
- Resolve impediments and any conflicts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 8-10 years industry experience
- Understanding of HW development cycles and dependencies to SW deliverables
- Have 5 or more years of experience in an Engineering Project/Program Manager role
- Deep knowledge and experience with Scrum or any Agile-centric software development methodology.
- Deep knowledge and experience with tools such as MS-Project, JIRA, Confluence and Project Dashboards.
- Experience supporting multiple, large and complex programs with global teams.
- Proven success in leading large cross functional engineering teams through influence
- Strong planning and organizations skills; must be able to set and manage technical priorities, adapt to change, track progress of activities, issues, risks and deliverables to closure.
- A problem solver who can quickly assess situations, collect relevant technical information, or input from subject matter experts and drive manageable solutions.
- Able to act decisively and make clear timely decisions which are in the best interests of the program.
- Be creative and innovative. Demonstrate a willingness to explore new options to bridge program challenges or improve processes.
- Willingness to take the big picture view; demonstrate an ability to identify and address challenges across functional boundaries.
- A nature of staying focused on solutions and ability to remain positive even under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor the detail to the target audience.

Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
