Currently we are seeking an energetic, self-driven Lead Systems Test Engineer. In this role you will be part of the engineering team and work hand in hand with firmware, mechanical and electrical development engineers.
We want you to take our test efforts to the next level by automating existing test cases and developing new integrated and automated test procedures. You will assume full responsibility for our engineering test efforts as well as the formal testing required for medical device software. In doing so you will be an integral part of our Willow engineering team and help guarantee the quality and reliability of our products.
Roles & Responsibilities | What you'll do:
- Own the formal firmware validation process:
- Write test plans, test reports and standard test methods
- Document identified issues, verification of resolved issues
- Execute formal test cases
- Translate high-level requirements into use cases and test procedures
- Analyze and review product specifications (e.g. product requirement specifications, system, functional and design specifications) to ensure product quality, safety, reliability, and testability
- Further develop our automated test systems:
- Maintain the automated test system for pump firmware
- Develop and implement new test fixtures for hardware in the loop testing
- Participate and support reliability and life cycle testing
- Manage and coordinate junior team members in our testing efforts
Experience | What you'll bring:
- 8 years experience with firmware / embedded systems
- At least 5 years experience writing test cases, conducting integration and system level testing
- Strong knowledge of software and hardware testing methodology
- Rock-solid Python programming skills are mandatory
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira
- Experience with requirements and test case management tools (eg. Jama, Matrix)
- Ability to work on multiple projects, manage your own priorities and schedule
- Communicate effectively (written and verbal) on an individual basis, as well as with larger groups
- Experience working on medical devices or other regulated industries
- Bachelor’s degree in software or electrical engineering or equivalent experience
