Who we are looking for:

The Lead SGM (Secured Gateway Module) System Engineer will lead the Secured Gateway System development and owning the feature and function execution meeting the expectation of software development plans and execution for the company. Proven ability with routing CAN data, serving as a FOTA (Flash over the air) Master and other gateway features is preferred for this role. This position will be responsible for working with our teams across the organization to ensure the SGM software objectives are met.

What you get to do:

  • Develop the SGM system component and sub-component requirements for SGM applications, such as raw and translated CAN routing, leading flash over CAN FD and completion of flash protocols and logging of CAN traffic.
  • Take the lead role as a system owner of the central SGM. This includes all system level requirements, traceability and documentation.
  • Review, ensure and maintain requirements traceability using common methodology, such as SySML.
  • System requirements decomposition to appropriate system level artifacts such as communication matrices, functional safety goals, etc.
  • Responsible for designing and development of FOTA feature within the SGM.
  • Develop software components within SGM to complete and implement PKI policies, procedures and standard processes to ensure vehicle network security and integration of digital certificates, keys and cryptographic algorithms and protocols.
  • Support system and software architecture development to establish traceability to overall product software architecture and vehicle interface requirements.
  • Work with internal and external supplier stakeholders for requirements, design, and test method development.

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM Degree
  • Demonstrated understanding of ISO-21434, ISO-14229, and ISO-15765
  • 5 years of experience working and leading a vehicle product that runs CAN network, such as a centralized gateway
  • 3 years of systems engineering experience defining system requirements using a SYSML methodology.
  • 3 years working with HSM concepts, implementation and integration.
  • Proven track record in PKI and security key frameworks and implementation
  • 3 years working with vehicle CAN interfaces and networking.
  • 3 years in software development lifecycle work products and achievements such as software requirements in compliance with functional safety and AUTOSAR guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of science degree in engineering in Electrical and/or Computer engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science.
  • Experience in design and development of vehicle serial communication protocols such as CAN/CAN-FD, SPI and LIN.
  • Expertise with hardware security modules and its infrastructure
  • Experience in debugging software using debuggers, instrumentation tools (ETAS-INCA, CANape or CANoe/CANalyzer.)
  • Extensive experience in requirements, change and configuration management tools. (Polarian, JIRA, Bitbucket, IBM-RTC etc.)
