Lead Systems Engineer (Level 4 or 5)

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to join our Phantom Works Systems Engineering Integration Team (SEIT) team in Berkeley, MO to support development efforts on a proprietary program.
The Lead Systems Engineer applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex system and system of systems solutions. Evaluates needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Resolves cross-functional technical issues. The ability to work and lead in a collaborative team environment on-site and across engineering disciplines will be imperative to this role. The selected individual will work in a fast paced, innovative environment where excellent technical, organizational, leadership, written and verbal communications skills are essential.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Levels 4 and 5 Lead Systems Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams in developing systems to meet project/program commitments, including support of documentation, deliveries and customer reviews
- Leverage Systems Engineering experience to shape, implement, maintain, and refine the systems engineering approach
- Support planning and execution of cross-functional program configuration and data management processes
- Lead Systems Engineering efforts such as requirements decomposition, system architecture, environments analysis, specification development, trade studies, program planning, interfaces management, risk management, certification planning & execution, verification & test planning, and overall integration
- Lead interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to plan, design, develop and verify complex systems solutions
- Identify and manage program technical metrics
- Serve as a Technical Lead Engineer through guiding and coaching less experienced systems engineers
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- (Level 4) 9+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or 7+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master’s or 4+ years of work related engineering experience with a PhD
- (Level 5) 14+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or 12+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master’s or 9+ years of work related engineering experience with a PhD
- Experience in systems engineering tasks such as architecture development (particularly Cameo/SysML), requirements management, verification or airworthiness certification

Summary pay range (Level 4): $119,850 - $162,150
Summary pay range (Level 5): $147,050 - $198,950
