About the role:
The GoHealth IT Infrastructure Team supports the entire GoHealth environment by providing network, systems and operational capabilities for all IT related functions in Corporate offices as well as remote agents. The team is looking for a Lead Systems Administrator to report to the Infrastructure Operations Senior Director. In this role you will work closely with all of GoHealth’s IT teams to determine standards, assist in troubleshooting, and act as the escalation point for systems administration related needs. The key to success to this role is to provide technical guidance to the Systems Administration team, executing on roadmaps, upgrades and design improvements to the Enterprise systems environment across remote offices, data centers, Azure, AWS and our agent workforce.
What you’ll do:
- Provide weekly and monthly reports on costs, status, backlog and completions of tasks
- Prioritize work for Systems Administration team
- Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
- Participates in technical research and development to continue providing additional capabilities and best practices to the organization
- Working in conjunction with the Infrastructure Operations Senior Director, determine strategy and roadmap to execute upgrades in hardware, software and design across Active Directory and all associated systems areas as well as AWS integration
- Delegate tasks among members of the Systems Administration team as well as Endpoint Engineering and drive a culture of improvement and best enterprise practices
- Provide and lead discussions for solutions to key business challenges, including but not limited to onboarding, access control, GPO and other related areas
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years hands-on direct responsibility experience supporting and implementing large-scale Active Directory environments
- 3-5 years of experience working with systems administration and endpoint engineering teams to create and implement best practices
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft solutions and products for systems environments
- Architectural design and maintenance experience with Active Directory, Azure, and connected AWS spaces
- Proven ability to plan, implement and manage large scale migrations of projects, data and persons to and from systems and others
- Experience implementing and managing OKTA single sign on services
- Experience with compliance audit and remediation processes, and capable of creating remediation plans and processes
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel
