Job Description

Collaborate & Define Requirements 

• Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and key stakeholders to gather both technical and non-technical requirements. 

• Define KPIs and success metrics to ensure alignment with broader business objectives. 

Application Design & Best Practices 

• Lead design sessions, embedding performance, scalability, and security considerations into the application architecture. 

• Champion a strict adherence to Pega best practices, advocating for an “out-of-the-box first” philosophy. 

Solution Architecture & Frameworks 

• Architect and design enterprise-grade applications using Pega CDH and Pega Platform. 

• Ensure solutions align with established client enterprise standards and governance models. 

Documentation & Process Flows 

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design documents, process flows, and best practices. 

• Establish and enforce standardized documentation procedures for Pega CDH implementations. 

Collaboration with LDA 

• Partner closely with the LDA to validate solution designs and oversee the deployment of decisioning artifacts. 

• Coordinate code merges and ensure successful production rollouts. 

Testing & Quality Assurance 

• Leverage Pega’s out-of-the-box testing tools and frameworks to minimize defects and accelerate feedback loops. 

• Champion rigorous QA processes, including automated testing, code reviews, and performance validations. 

Platform Configuration 

• Configure crucial platform components—queue processors, job schedulers, data flows, data pages and activities—to support robust CDH solutions. 

• Oversee environment setup and maintain best practices for environment management and maintenance. 

• Understand and extend Pega PDC - Monitoring reports, Custom Alerts, etc. 

• Guide the client on usage of PDC. 

Technical Leadership & Mentorship 

• Provide hands-on leadership for the development team, guiding complex technical tasks and ensuring high-quality deliverables. 

• Mentor team members to foster skill development, knowledge sharing, and adherence to best practices. 

DevOps & CI/CD Integration 

• Advocate and implement DevOps methodologies, integrating continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for solution deployment. 

• Extend Deployment pipelines to include automated and manual testing steps, Email notifications to stakeholders and ultimate deployment to downstream environments 

Enterprise Integration & Architecture 

• Work with enterprise architects to enable seamless integration between Pega CDH and other business-critical systems (e.g., CRM, data lakes, marketing automation platforms). 

• Identify optimal integration patterns that balance performance, reliability, and maintainability. 

Performance Tuning & Scalability 

• Proactively monitor and optimize application performance, addressing bottlenecks to ensure scalability as user loads and data volumes grow. 

Governance & Compliance 

• Define, document, and enforce architectural standards, data governance, and security protocols. 

• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure data privacy and regulatory adherence. 

Thought Leadership & Innovation 

• Stay abreast of emerging Pega features and industry trends, driving continuous improvement in solution design. 

Prerequisites 

• Pega Certified Lead Systems Architect

• Pega Certified Decisioning Consultant 

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience 

• Experience supporting a CDH application from a Pega Platform perspective 

• Bachelors or Masters in Information Science/Computer Science or relevant field

• Exemplary communication and organizational skills
