The Lead Software Architect will ensure that software architecture design and development meet business goals and support scalability. This role involves collaborating with various teams to establish system requirements and create solutions that integrate smoothly into complex engineering systems within Process/DCS solutions. Responsibilities

REQUIRED:

  • B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field
  • Over 15 years of experience in product/software development, including at least 10 years in full stack development with an emphasis on cloud-based applications and the process/DCS domain
  • More than 6 years of experience in software architecture and designing cloud-based solutions incorporating AI
  • Domain expertise in process industries such as refineries, chemicals, petrochemicals, metals, mining, and other continuous or batch processes
  • Contributions to patents or published technical papers relevant to the field
  • Advanced Technical Skills:
  • Front-End: In-depth knowledge of React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and associated libraries (Redux, etc.); familiarity with HTML5 and CSS3
    • Back-End: Strong proficiency in .NET Core, Python, C#, ASP.NET Core for REST/Web API and microservices development
    • APIs: Thorough understanding of REST API and Web API design, Swagger/OpenAPI, and Postman
    • Cloud: Experience using Azure services and container technologies; practical experience with AI/ML and Agentic Frameworks
    • Identity and Access: Expertise in OAuth 2.0, Active Directory Federation, and RBAC
    • Cybersecurity: Mastery of secure design and development practices
    • Databases: Extensive experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cosmos DB)
    • DevOps: Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Bitbucket, GitHub Actions), Docker, Kubernetes
    • Version Control: Skilled in Git and platforms like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
    • Exceptional understanding of design principles, architectural patterns, and coding standards
  • Proficiency in process data analytics, statistical modeling, deep learning, reinforcement learning, LLMs, and Agentic AI
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and demonstrated success working in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, innovative approach to product development
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
QualificationsKey Responsibilities
  • Design and build reliable, scalable, and highly available applications utilizing REST APIs, C#.Net, AI/ML, and Azure for process and DCS-based solutions.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies in process control, data analytics, and AI to enhance existing solutions and develop new product features.
  • Architect and design complex microservice solutions, ensuring effective system integration and scalability.
  • Develop and automate cloud infrastructure using appropriate Azure services.
  • Work proficiently with relational and document databases such as PostgreSQL, Druid, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, and apply knowledge of graph databases when needed.
  • Utilize messaging protocols and streaming technologies (Kafka, ServiceBus, RabbitMQ) for robust service communication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new product features.
  • Make informed trade-offs in tool and technology selection to optimize performance and maintainability.
  • Control development costs while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Apply Agile practices within Scrum teams to deliver features on a bi-weekly cadence.
  • Support architects and mentor junior team members to foster technical excellence and innovation.
  • Apply software engineering concepts such as OOP, SOLID principles, and architectural patterns to optimize development.
  • Use analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and improve solutions.
  • Communicate ideas clearly through verbal, written, and presentation skills, and build consensus among stakeholders.
  • Ensure solutions comply with industry standards, security best practices, and performance benchmarks.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to inform future product roadmaps.
