Job Title: Lead Test Architect

Department: Quality Assurance / Testing / V&V

Job Overview:

The Test Lead Software engineer position in the BA V&V organization and is responsible to spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive Functional test strategy along with automation and simulation strategy across BA. 

This leadership role is responsible for providing best quality test deliverables; demonstrating test ownership; aligning test resources and driving test execution and performance to meet customer requirements; developing our test resources and capabilities; and driving standard work of the test methodology, equipment, process, and practices. This leadership role will define the day-to-day test operations of multiple test teams through test strategies and methodologies. This role requires close coordination of with cross GBE Test and development leads.

We are seeking candidates with demonstrated technical capability broad expertise in multi layered Systems and Safety Systems testing, knowledge of legacy and latest Building automation systems, safety systems and interoperability. Understanding of various platforms, HCI application qualification, third party interoperability qualification, virtualization, Automation and simulation along with strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • · Develop and execute a long-term Functional, performance and automation, simulation testing strategy .
  • · Lead and mentor a team of domain and  automation/simulation testing professionals.
  • · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate test scenarios and ensure 100% coverage with strong automation and simulation testing pipeline in the product development lifecycle.
  • · Design and maintain test strategies and automation/simulation framework to support various testing phases.
  • · Drive continuous improvement in testing practices by leveraging the latest technologies and methodologies.
  • · Manage the creation, execution, and maintenance of test deliverables to ensure robust product releases.
  • · Analyze test results, report on testing progress and issues, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • · Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  •  Drive quality improvement initiatives and Innovation.
  • · Customer issues resolution and Technical support, helping quick resolution of site issues.
  • · Drive SBG and Cross SBG initiatives as a part of V&V COE.

The Role may require 10-20% domestic and international travel including visits to customer sites.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • · Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • · 15+ years of experience in system function/ automation-simulation testing or Development  within a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • · Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop a high-performing testing team.
  • · Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • · Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • · Candidate having worked in projects related to  Building Automation/ Smart City/ Connected systems / Building Solutions/ Fire safety systems, Manufacturing Process industries, Power plant, will have added advantage.
  • · Candidate should have knowledge on the overall Engineering lifecycle of product development.
  • · He / She should have Good Knowledge on Virtualization (VMWare)
  •  Exposure to Test and Requirement Management Tools such as JIRA, Xray is must.
  • · Solid communication and collaborative skills
  • · Customer centricity and ability to drive business and customer engagement.  
  • · Knowledge of various programming languages such as Java, Python, C# etc. will be added advantage.
  • Working Experience in AI adoption

Preferred Skills:

  • · Experience with control systems, Safety systems, and legacy control systems testing environments.
  • · Knowledge of Product life cycles and managing program of projects.
  • · Familiarity with performance and security testing.
  • Well worse will Agile , SAFe Agile Framework
