Essential Functions:

  • Lead Fuel Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and growing new customer accounts: 225MM gallons @ 2.6cpg= $5.5MM) incremental sales and margins
  • Position will utilize their prospecting and consultative selling skills, high energy, and initiative to identify opportunities for new business and to improve current business
  • Communicates products and services opportunities, information or feedback gathered through client activity to appropriate internal resources, including relevant business issues and industry information for utilization in development of market specific actions plans and sales strategy
  • Strategically grows customer base through prospecting and cold calling
  • Expert in products sold and ability to cross sell to customers as opportunities are presented
  • Directs optimization model for daily sales/margin by reviewing daily pricing and orders, and adjusting daily spot price quotes to compensate for market moves
  • Work with scheduling, supply, & trading teams to address customer inventory demands and forecasts

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• BS in Business, Finance, Administration, or Marketing. MBA preferred.

• 8+ years industry experience desired.

• High analytical and negotiation competence.

• Handles customer issues well with little supervision.

• Strong work ethic and drive

• Microsoft Office Suite skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)

• Good presentation and formal proposal skills Qualifications & Characteristics

• Excellent communication skills demonstrating the ability to listen to others, express ideas both orally and in writing, and provide relevant and timely information to customers, managers, etc

• Self-starter; self-motivated; sense of urgency; personable; extroverted personality; well organized; ability to achieve goals; ability to focus and pay attention to detail

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Supply Logistics, Optimization and Problem Solving background

SPOT Sales in Unbranded Fuels industry experience

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
