Position Requirements and Duties:
The Lead Software Developer is a member of the Event Engineering Team (EET) and supports the Event Designer and Event Lead. The Lead Software Developer is responsible for leading the software development efforts for event environment design.
Qualifications:
• US Citizen
• TS with SCI eligibility clearance
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in computer science, or a focus in computer and information sciences, information technology, management information systems, or a related discipline with corresponding experience and demonstrated mastery of relevant computer science and software engineering topics.
• 2+ years of experience with cyber testing or training to include experience with defensive and offensive cyber tools and TTPs.
• 2+ years of systems administration experience.
• 3+ years of experience with software development and software engineering
Desired Qualifications:
• Expert knowledge of: software development to include agile software development practices; programming languages; operating systems; networks; enterprise and consumer IT concepts, architectures, and systems (compute, network, storage).
• Expert knowledge of PowerShell, bash scripting, python scripting, and C/C++ development.
• Experience developing web applications using web development frameworks such as Django, Ruby on Rails, Flask, Angular, Bottle, jQuery, Meteor.
• Knowledge of one or more continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.
• Knowledge of infrastructure configuration automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, etc.
• Knowledge of one or more of the following MySQL, MariaDB, mongoDB, Postgres SQL, or no SQL.
• Knowledge of Networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, TFTP, DNS, FTP.
• Extensive and varied experience designing realistic terrain, including global gray and target environments.
• Experience developing user simulators, which generate network and application traffic to simulate realistic users.
• Advanced knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies such as VMWare, Docker, HyperV, Xen, Kubernetes, etc.
• Expertise in building out complex enterprise infrastructures using various operating systems and services (e.g., AD, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, VPN, email, databases, IIS, Apache, etc.)
Preferred Certifications:
• Possess DoDD 8570 CSSP Infrastructure Support certification OR;
• Possess DoDD 8570 IAT Level II certification or greater
