👩💻 The Role
We require a Lead Software Engineer in Test who can:
- Understand the applications and systems at Headout.
- Analyse the requirements and write test cases for the same.
- Talk to different stake holders and be in sync with changing trends and emerging requirements at Headout.
- Test new features and approve the same.
- Contribute in writing robust automation test suits both for Front end and Backend
- Initiate new procedures and best test practices, in testing and test Automation
- Attend team catchups, discussions and be a team player.
- Be a part of booking automation at Headout using Selenium, which also means that you will be acting as a dev here.
- Resolve/debug/fix any production bugs and be a part of on-call(production bugs) process at Headout.
- Full responsibility for creating QA processes, test suites and QA pipelines for Headout apps and website.
- Create test plans and monitor the progress on the plan in regular intervals.
- Lead a fast-growing team of young, passionate, talented and fun loving superstars.
- Get your hands dirty and lead the test framework implementation, testing infrastructure setup, setting up regular reports.
- Mentor the new joins and juniors with required assistance and take sessions on the new learnings and findings.
- Be up to date with new features, changing paradigms and everything else in software testing.
- Build and contribute to open-source libraries and components.
- This is a hybrid role comprising both manual and automation testing with an inclination towards learning new technologies and tools and tread on the path to automation.

- A penchant for learning and building with new technologies and frameworks.
- Over 5 years of Testing and framework development experience, crafting scalable code and leading teams with strong communication for seamless project execution.
- A knack for writing the most performance-optimized code along with it being modular and scalable.

- You’re interested in being an early employee at a growing company, with the influence and responsibility that entails.
- You have broad and deep knowledge across a variety of contemporary technologies.
💝 We like
- 5+ years of experience in website,mobile, backend automation and manual testing(preferably a combination of at-least or more).
- Ability to list down test cases/scenarios to test any application using the test case design techniques
- Brief knowledge and hands on experience on Basic Unix commands.
- Coding experience with automated testing frameworks, tools, services, and physical devices.
- Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly.
- Good CS fundamentals, including good working knowledge of oops concepts, classic algorithms and data structures.
- Experience with Agile testing methodologies and best practices.
- Solid understanding of how the web works and it's underlying communication protocols.
- Experience with Database querying, using SQL or MongoDB
- Have hands on experience on Automation tools like selenium and Rest Assured.
- Have hands on experience on test frameworks like TestNG or JUnit.
- Have a decent knowledge or working experience on BDD framework like CUCUMBER.
- Experience in writing code with programming languages like python or Java, or both.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Passion for bug-free UI and anything else that can surprise us.
