DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Apply site reliability engineering principles to ensure high availability, reliability, and resiliency of financial applications, including incident response and system health monitoring. Architect, provision, and manage multi-cloud infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure to support large-scale financial systems and optimize resource utilization. Lead migration and modernization of applications from legacy and on-premises environments to cloud platforms, including containerization and automation. Develop and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes for microservices. Enhance security and compliance by implementing authentication solutions, managing certificates, and overseeing database operations and migrations. Design, develop, and support cloud-native and portfolio management applications using language such as Spring Boot, Java, Python, and R. Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: designing, developing, and deploying enterprise applications using Spring Boot, Java, Python, and R for financial services, private investment banking, and stock plan administration; full-stack Agile software engineering, including requirements gathering, system design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation; site reliability engineering principles, including defining and monitoring service level indicators, service level objectives, error budgets, as well as incident response, root cause analysis, and site resiliency planning for critical point of failure business applications; architecting, provisioning, and managing multi-cloud infrastructure using AWS and Microsoft including ECS, EKS, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Private Cloud Endpoints, Direct Connect, Relational Database Service, and Elastic Compute Cloud for automation, cost optimization, and operational effectiveness; migrating legacy and on-premises systems to cloud platforms; implementing and managing containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes; automating infrastructure with Terraform; designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Spinnaker, Buildi, Jules, and Harness; automating build, test, and deployment processes and establishing secure connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments; security solutions including just-in-time, password-less authentication, SSL and x509 certificate management, vulnerability assessment, and regulatory compliance; database operations and migrations using AWS RDS for Oracle, Aurora PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Sybase; observability and monitoring using Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, and Splunk; performance optimization.
