Join AutoScout24 and play a leading role in the software development process as a Lead Software Engineer (m/f/d). In this role, you will solve complex problems and be responsible for the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirement engineering, implementation and launch to operation and maintenance.

What you’ll do:
- Work on companywide product initiatives and drive the success of the whole tech organization
- Optimize and improve the AS24 technology stack by targeting individual, team, and cross-team efficiency, applying future proven concepts, architectural principles, and frameworks
- Design, drive and hands-on support the implementation of entire systems over multiple teams and longer periods
- Support Engineers to recognize improvement potential and give regular, honest, and open feedback to them to help them grow and continuously improve
What you need to succeed:
- A breadth of knowledge across a range of languages/technologies in different paradigms (e.g., Object-Oriented / Functional) and the ability to rapidly grasp the key concepts in ones which you are unfamiliar with
- 12+ years Software Engineering experience (JVM-languages, Elasticsearch, Kafka, AWS considered a plus)
- Experience in designing large-scale applications for at least 7+ years
- A proven track record of driving organizational impact for at least 5+ years
- Ability to communicate complex issues to diverse audiences inside and outside the company
- Willingness to suggest and take actions to improve engineering effectiveness and efficiency
