We are looking for a Lead software Engineer. This role typically reports to Sr Manager Software Engineering within Global Converse Technology within our Marketplace & Product Engineering team at the India Technology Center in Bangalore. The India Technology team supports global work for all sales channels enabling Converse to sell its goods globally in retailers all around the world. In this role, you will be a senior technical leader responsible for designing, building, and scaling ecommerce solutions that power Converse's global digital commerce platform. You will be accountable for the delivery of technology that is needed to enable consumer connections at retail and Converse.com, helping the Converse business meet and exceed its growth goals for our Brick and Mortar and Digital Commerce Channels globally. Partnering with global Converse technology teams will be key to successful growth in all aspects of technology delivery and operations.

We are seeking a highly experienced and technical Lead Software Engineer You will bring deep expertise in e-commerce systems, Salesforce Commerce tools, AI-driven commerce experiences, and high-demand launch and bot mitigation capabilities to help us deliver the best possible experience to consumers worldwide. We are open to candidates in Bangalore India
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
10+ years of professional experience in ecommerce engineering and software development
Deep hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) is preferred but equivalent ecommerce tools is mandatory
Demonstrated experience leveraging AI and large language models (LLMs) in an ecommerce environment, such as recommendation engines, intelligent search, personalization, demand forecasting, or conversational AI
Proven experience designing and implementing bot mitigation and detection systems for high-demand, Launches, CDN configuration, edge computing in the digital commerce environments
Strong experience building and operating high-traffic launch capabilities, including queue management, traffic shaping, and real-time scaling strategies
Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Node.js
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and cloud-native architectures is optional
Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure, especially during high stakes launch events
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to collaborate effectively across geographically distributed teams and time zones
Comfort working in a fast paced, results oriented, globally distributed environment.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Responsibilities:
AI Agent Development/orchestration: Design, build, and implement AI agents
Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-grade ecommerce solutions that support Converse's global digital commerce operations
Drive the technical vision and roadmap for ecommerce platform capabilities, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance during high-traffic events and product launches
Design and implement solutions leveraging eCommerce platform, including B2C Commerce, Order Management, and Commerce APIs
Lead the development and continuous improvement of bot mitigation strategies and technologies to protect high-demand product launches and ensure fair access for consumers
Drive continuous improvement in development processes, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and operational excellence, Contribute to architecture evolution &security aspects
Support product readiness for system implementations/ enhancements etc
