Lead Software Architect

What will you do?

• Collaborate with product owners to understand, evaluate and define functional and non-functional requirements for new features
• Evangelize and document the current and future architecture of the software within and outside of the organization
• Guard maintainability, scalability, testability, security and run-time efficiency of the application
• Collaborate on, challenge and approve designs for new features
• Take ownership in different aspects of development like appropriate technology, workflow and coding standards
• Ensure architectural alignment with industry best practice and standards
• Communicate all concepts and guidelines to development team
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers throughout the development cycle
• Evaluate new technologies and tools on relevant criteria, both by literature study and POCs
  
  
  
  

Job Requirements

Who are you?

Must haves

• You hold a Master's degree, and have a minimum of 5 years experience in system architecture.
• You are passionate about delivering continuous quality
• Although you are in technical position, you think customer-centric
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• You have a 360-degree view and experience with SDLC from design to deployment
• You are able to process, learn and apply new concepts at a high pace.
• You are critical of your own and others’ code.
• You have a wide experience in developing software in various languages and frameworks. Our current stack consists of Python, Kubernetes, Rust, Typescript, Vue.js.
• Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
• You have proven experience with cloud and on-premise deployments
• Understanding of quality assurance principles, risk management and security in software
• A technical mindset with great attention to detail
• High quality organizational and leadership skills
• Great communication and presentation abilities
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

• Knowing Dutch
• Experience with cameras and their complex integration in software

A good understanding of performance optimizations in various layers of a system.
