The Local Service Delivery Technical Manager (SDTM) for the Mexico Geozone is responsible for leading the Technical Advising, Applications Engineering, Laboratory, Reliability, and Technical Support teams to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality service execution. The role drives technical excellence throughout the service delivery lifecycle, supports business growth, develops technical capabilities, and ensures operational performance meets both customer expectations and business objectives.

As the Local Service Delivery Technical Manager (SDTM), you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the Applications Engineering, Technical Advising, Reliability, Laboratory, and Technical Support teams across the Mexico Geozone.
  • Driving HSE excellence by promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all safety standards and requirements.
  • Providing technical leadership to support job planning, design, risk assessment, execution, and post-job evaluation activities.
  • Supporting commercial opportunities, tenders, and customer proposals by delivering effective technical guidance and expertise.
  • Driving technical assurance and execution excellence to achieve customer outcomes while meeting operational and financial objectives.
  • Leading incident management activities, including communication, investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
  • Implementing performance improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partnering with Service Delivery, Sales, Commercial, and Operations leaders to align technical resources with business priorities.
  • Presenting technical strategies, project plans, risks, recommendations, and performance updates to customers and senior leadership.
  • Leading the implementation of new technologies, processes, procedures, and organizational initiatives within the geozone.
  • Acting as a trusted technical advisor by building strong customer relationships and delivering differentiated solutions.
  • Driving organizational capability through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and competency development of technical personnel.
  • Managing multiple projects and priorities while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Field Service, Technical Advising, Applications Engineering, Service Delivery, or related technical leadership roles.
  • Have demonstrated experience leading technical teams supporting field operations and customer-facing service delivery.
  • Have strong experience providing technical support for operational planning and execution.
  • Have proven ability to manage complex technical challenges and drive business results through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Have the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple organizational levels and build strong customer relationships.
  • Be fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Have experience leading performance improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.
  • Be capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Have experience working across Latin America or within a matrixed regional organization (preferred).
  • Have Portuguese language proficiency (preferred).
