Lead Security Engineer

The Lead Security Engineer will be responsible for establishing and managing the security infrastructure and protocols at FPFX Technologies. This individual will have the opportunity to shape the future of our security operations. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of software development principles.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage network security measures to protect company assets.
• Lead application security efforts, including code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and secure coding practices.
• Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate security weaknesses.
• Develop and implement incident response procedures to effectively respond to security incidents.
• Implement security solutions hands-on, including configuring and managing Linux and Windows systems.
• Conduct security code reviews and provide guidance to developers on secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years’ in security engineering roles, with a focus on application/software security
• Proficiency in penetration testing tools and techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows systems administration.
• Experience conducting security code reviews and knowledge of software development principles.
• Previous experience in a software product company.
• Developer background or experience working closely with software development teams is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
