Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and technically sophisticated Salesforce Lead Developer to help drive our multi-phased Salesforce transformation. Partnering closely with technical leadership and business stakeholders, this developer will design integrated solutions, implement MDM (Master Data Management) strategies, enhance data governance, and execute client unification initiatives across our CRM landscape. Insurance industry experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, customize, and deploy Salesforce CRM solutions to support insurance business processes, including submission creation, triage, clearance, and lead tracking.
• Develop and maintain client unification solutions (deduplication, client identity and hierarchy management, customer MDM) utilizing Salesforce and enterprise data governance platforms.
• Integrate MDM and data governance technologies and processes into Salesforce and connected enterprise systems, supporting data quality, ownership, lineage, and stewardship.
• Mentor junior Salesforce developers and support collaborative development across a technical team (including developers, solution architects, QA engineers, and integration specialists).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and IT partners to analyze requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in the design and implementation of complex integrations between Salesforce and insurance core systems, including Policy Administration, rating, claims management, broker portals, and third-party solutions.
• Ensure the ongoing performance, security, data integrity, and compliance of the CRM platform.
• Advocate for best practices in Salesforce configuration, custom development (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce), data modeling, and integration. • Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational/implementation guides. • Serve as a senior escalation point for technical troubleshooting, issue resolution, and support processes.
• Stay up-to-date with Salesforce advancements, MDM and data governance trends, and insurance industry developments to propose and implement technical improvements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive, hands-on experience designing, developing, and delivering large scale, enterprise Salesforce solutions (Sales/Service Cloud, Lightning Experience).
• Experience providing technical mentorship and informal leadership to development teams, preferably within insurance or financial services sectors.
• Proven expertise designing and implementing MDM, data governance frameworks, and client unification (e.g., de-duplication, client identity management, and master data stewardship within Salesforce or integrated environments).
• In-depth understanding of insurance business processes (submission, lead management, policy administration) and integration with core insurance systems.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Salesforce development tools and technologies (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, REST/SOAP APIs), and large-scale data integrations.
• Certified Salesforce Platform Developer II (Architect certifications a plus).
• Experience with industry-standard data governance/MDM tools (e.g., Informatica, Reltio, Collibra) is a strong plus.
• Excellent technical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Solid experience with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and modern software development best practices.
