The Opportunity
Berry Street is tackling America’s most comprehensive health crisis: food. More than half of Americans are struggling with their relationship with food, are clinically overweight, or suffer from a chronic condition linked to their diet.
Nutrition therapy is clinically proven to make a difference, and most commercial health insurance plans cover it at $0 out-of-pocket. Berry Street empowers registered dietitians to launch and grow in-network private practices. We’re creating game-changing technology to build America’s largest dietitian network and ensure that anyone can access the help they need.
Since launching in January 2023, we’ve grown to over 1,100 providers on our platform and tens of thousands of patients served, across all 50 states. About the Role
We’re looking for a sharp, mission-aligned RCM Lead to strengthen the foundation of our billing and insurance operations.
As RCM Lead, you’ll help deliver the strategy, operation, and ongoing improvement of Berry Street’s revenue cycle operations. You’ll work cross-functionally with our clinical, product, operations, and billing teams to manage and improve processes that accelerate revenue collection.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on guidance and support for our billing team on healthcare billing initiatives
- Manage high-profile RCM projects and develop new capabilities that enable our business to expand
- Collaborate cross-functionally to diagnose operational gaps and implement scalable solutions that improve reimbursement accuracy and speed.
- Define and manage key RCM performance indicators, reporting regularly on outcomes and identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintain a deep understanding of payer policies and regulatory changes to inform strategy and ensure compliance.
- Design, implement, and improve internal best practices to enable consistent execution at scale.
- Manage a growing team of RCM specialists, both onshore and overseas, ensuring clear expectations, high performance, and strong collaboration.
- 6+ years of experience Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management and/or direct Medical Billing experience.
- A strong command of RCM metrics and workflows, and know how to use data to drive operational performance.
- A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving complex problems from first principles, and moves ideas from concept to execution.
