Senior Mobile Engineer

We are looking to hire a Principal Mobile Engineer to help expand our mobile capabilitiy.  The ideal candidate must have strong development and leadership experience.  He/she must be local to Atlanta, GA.  This is a hybrid role with the expectations of working onsite 1-3 days per week.  
What You'll Do

• Lead the design, architecture, and hands-on development of a cross-platform React Native mobile application integrating with existing client systems.
• Serve as a technical leader and architect, defining best practices and ensuring scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on mobile development best practices, guiding teams in iOS and Android nuances.
• Define trade-offs between rapid development and long-term maintainability, ensuring scalable, high-quality solutions.
• Work in an Agile environment, actively participating in stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Regularly demonstrate progress and provide clear technical direction for project success.
• Coach and mentor both internal and client-side developers, fostering technical growth.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, from junior developers to executives, translating business needs into technical solutions.

What You'll Bring

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including technical consulting.
• 10+ years of cross-platform iOS & Android mobile development experience.
• Deep expertise in React Native, with a strong understanding of native iOS and Android
  considerations (form factor, performance, platform-specific nuances).
• Experience designing scalable mobile architectures and leading development teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to prototype and evaluate alternative solutions.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, startup-like environments, balancing speed with long-term maintainability.
• Strong communication skills, with experience influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams, including full-time employees and contractors.
• Broad experience across software engineering best practices, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and data.
• Must be a self-starter, enthusiastic, and flexible.
• Preference for Atlanta based.

Nice To Have

• Experience working with fintech or banking applications.
• Experience with hardware integrations and native-specific implementations in React Native, such as Bluetooth, biometrics, sensors, or camera functionality—areas where cross-platform solutions may require deeper native expertise.
• Strong DevOps skills, including:
  • CI/CD pipeline management for mobile applications.
  • Automating deployments to the App Store and Google Play, including handling signing, provisioning, and release management.
  • Familiarity with Expo, including when to leverage it versus ejecting to bare workflow for deeper native functionality.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and E2E automation.
• Published applications on the App Store and Google Play Store, with a strong understanding of:
  • The publishing process for both platforms, including provisioning, compliance, and approval workflows.
  • Setting up and managing testing environments (TestFlight for iOS, Google Play Console Internal Testing for Android).
  • App Store Optimization (ASO) best practices to improve discoverability and user acquisition.
