Lead Quality Engineer ensures aerospace product quality and regulatory compliance, supports a key customer on-site, maintains QMS, leads root cause analysis and corrective actions, supports audits/inspections, and drives cross-functional continuous improvement.

As a Lead Quality Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance within Aerospace. You will support one of our most valuable customers while on site at the customer facility. This position requires you to be the conduit to Honeywell Aerospace from the Customer site locations. Working with the customer to ensure the materials Honeywell Aerospace Provides are as expected, if issues arise actively working with the customer to correct as required. 

You will report directly to our Sr. Director of Quality Engineering Electronics, and you’ll work on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the Aerospace business unit by ensuring that all products meet rigorous quality standards, supporting regulatory compliance, and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective quality management practices.

ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee quality engineering activities to ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain quality assurance processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality concerns.
  • Support audits and inspections by internal and external stakeholders.
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality engineering within the aerospace industry or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards such as AS9100 and FAA regulations
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies including FMEA, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and statistical process control
  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and audit processes
