Lead QA Engineer

This role can be based in Cyprus or Serbia!

As we prepare to onboard our first clients and scale operations, we are seeking an experienced Lead QA Engineer to drive our quality assurance strategy, ensure high standards of software testing, and champion best practices across our engineering teams.

In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of our platform. Leading a globally distributed QA team, you will develop test strategies, automate testing processes, and work closely with developers to uphold the highest software quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement a comprehensive QA strategy, ensuring alignment with business and engineering goals.
• Establish and oversee end-to-end testing processes, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to increase efficiency and test coverage.
• Lead and mentor a distributed QA team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and improve release cycles.
• Ensure compliance with industry security standards and best practices in QA.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, collaborating with engineers to resolve issues efficiently.
• Continuously assess and improve QA tools, methodologies, and workflows.

• Test Automation: Selenium, Cypress, Python, Allure, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG
• Backend Testing: Postman, REST Assured, JMeter, WireMock
• Frontend Testing: Jest, Mocha, Chai, Jasmine
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker
• CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, ArgoCD

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience: 7+ years in software testing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior QA role.
• Technical Expertise: Strong background in test automation, performance testing, and security testing.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and grow QA teams, fostering a culture of quality.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially in production environments.
• Collaboration: Experience working with engineering and product teams to align QA with development cycles.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a proactive approach to quality.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience in wealth management, fintech, or similar industries.
• Hands-on experience with AI-driven testing or test automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum and/or DevOps methodologies.
• Russian language at working professional capacity is an advantage
