Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Automation Engineer with 5 to 9 years of experience to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation frameworks, functional testing, and QA processes, with hands-on experience in WebdriverIO/Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Mocha framework. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using WebdriverIO/Playwright, Mocha, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

  • Perform functional testing and ensure comprehensive test coverage for web applications.

  • Implement and optimize QA processes, including test planning, execution, and reporting.

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts in Scrum ceremonies to align on requirements and deliverables.

  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with teams to resolve issues promptly.

  • Drive continuous improvement in automation frameworks and testing strategies.

  • Conduct API testing using Postman and validate integrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in WebdriverIO/Playwright, Mocha, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

  • Solid programming knowledge and ability to write clean, maintainable code.

  • Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or REST Assured.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).

QA Expertise:

  • Solid understanding of functional testing, QA methodologies, and best practices.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
