The Military Fixed Wing Team (MFW) / Collective Combat Aircraft (CCA) Engine Propulsion Project Engineering team, supporting military turbojet engines, has an immediate opening for a Lead Project Engineer. The team is in need of a strong Project Engineer to help lead and execute the team through extremely fast new centerline military engine design programs & efforts. To meet the needs of the marketplace in the face of stiff competition, the team must rapidly develop new engines and support existing engines to be the best in the marketplace through execution of world class project management. The successful candidate will lead a cross-functional engineering team to develop and support major engine systems to be best-in market under strict schedule constraints.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead design and development activity of the engine system through all aspects of the Honeywell IPDS process on schedule, on budget and in compliance with all technical requirements. Key aspects include requirements validation and verification, resolution of key technical challenges, acquisition of hardware, management of fabrication cost and execution of qualification tasks. Broad indirect span of control of approximately 10-12 full time equivalent engineers with peak execution periods of >15+. Cost account manager for assigned scope, including Earned Value Management System reporting. Annual budgetary responsibility approximately $3M-$10M or more.
