At Shibuya, we're revolutionizing the way films are funded and experienced, creating a new ecosystem where fans and creators connect in meaningful ways. To do this, we need the best talent—those who aren’t just skilled but also deeply passionate about redefining the future of film and Web3. We’re a team of driven innovators who work relentlessly to empower creators and fans alike.
As our sole Product Designer, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the visual and interactive experiences that define our platform. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a startup environment, where feedback is embraced, trust is a given, and self-disruption is the norm. You’ll have the unique opportunity to lead design efforts from concept to execution, influencing every aspect of the user experience.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work closely with a small, dynamic team to iteratively improve the user experience across our platform.
- Take new features from ideation to prototyping, user testing, and ultimately, production.
- Design web and mobile experiences that are simple, intuitive, and visually compelling.
- Participate in regular design reviews, actively seeking and incorporating feedback.
- Execute on the product roadmap, contributing to the definition and evolution of our product strategy.
- Collaborate daily with Engineering, User Research, and Product teams to bring your designs to life.
What We’re Looking For:
- A candidate who excels in an environment that values trust, feedback, and self-improvement.
- A mission-driven mindset with a strong alignment to Shibuya's vision.
- Passion for creating user experiences that are logical, intuitive, and deeply empathetic to the needs of our users.
- A commitment to testing and iterating on designs to ensure the best possible user outcomes.
- Someone who appreciates direct communication and values both giving and receiving candid feedback.
- The ability to pivot quickly and adapt to the evolving needs of a rapidly changing environment.
- A “can do” attitude, with a willingness to take full ownership of challenges and drive them to successful resolution.
- A team player who thrives in collaborative environments and embraces opportunities to grow.
What We Look For in You:
- 3+ years of professional Product Design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in designing consumer-facing experiences for both web and mobile platforms.
- Excellence in UX thinking, visual design, and clear, effective communication.
- Experience working in collaborative environments alongside engineers, user researchers, and product teams.
- Proficiency in Figma and other prototyping tools.
- A low ego, open-minded, and collaborative approach to work.
Nice to Haves:
- An interest in the evolving landscape of film, Web3, and digital content funding.
- Experience or familiarity with crypto or financial products.
Compensation and Trial Period:
At Shibuya, we believe in finding the right fit for both our team and our candidates. That’s why we offer a paid one-month trial for potential candidates before extending a full-time offer. This trial allows both you and us to ensure that Shibuya is the right place for you to grow and make an impact.

Full-time offers from Shibuya also include equity and benefits, including medical, dental, and vision.
Pay Range:
$165,000—$170,000 USD
What We Do
Shibuya is a web3 content studio and creator platform.
Unlike traditional streaming platforms, Shibuya is built with decentralization as a priority and uses blockchain technology to securely distribute and monetize content. We want to build a range of tools and resources to help creators produce high-quality content, and provide them with direct access to their audiences. This can empower creators to build deep connections with their fans and create a loyal following that helps drive the growth of the platform.
NFTs provide a new business model for content monetization, and Shibuya aims to fill a gap in the market for long-form content monetization using web3 technology.
Long-term we are on a mission to change how content is created, owned, and consumed.
