Delta Faucet Company has an excellent opportunity for a Product Compliance Engineer. The Product Compliance Engineer ensures products meet performance standards for all voluntary and regulatory certification and listing requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains, monitors, promotes, and continuously improves the company-wide product compliance policy and associated processes & documentation.
  • Collaborates with other functions to identify and mitigate product compliance risk in systems, processes, and products involved in launches and/or engineering changes including the development of the product compliance validation test plans.
  • Ensures the on-time completion and accuracy of all third-party certifications & product listings and of product compliance data in internal systems.
  • Monitors, communicates, and trains partners on new and existing performance standards and regulatory changes. Is often capable of providing an interpretation of a standard or regulation based on their experience and knowledge, but, when necessary, will take the lead to pull resources together to decide the best plan for interpreting a standard or regulation, and then manage follow-up activities through closure.
  • Participates in the assigned standard development organizations and plumbing trade associations to represent interests of Delta Faucet Company and Masco Corporation while offering the highest practical and reasonable health and safety protection to the public. Participation includes being a member of a trade association committee and/or task force, participation in standard creation or updates, and potentially serving as a voting member, delegate, or committee leader.
  • Serves as a mentor and resource both internally and across the corporation by proactively sharing product compliance knowledge and best practices, and by acting as a technical lead on new and complex topics.
  • Completes assigned work while increasing product compliance knowledge of products, processes, systems, and requirements. Expected to play an active role in developing departmental strategies, goal setting, identifying roadblocks, making recommendations, and implementing solutions.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience with plumbing products, testing labs, or product compliance.
  • Experience participating in standards development and using performance standards to develop test plans.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and mitigating risk and ensuring accuracy and completion of third-party certifications and product listings across diverse product categories.
  • Preferred experience in electrical and/or water quality product compliance.
  • Must be proactive, analytical, and willing to challenge the status quo.
  • Must be detail-oriented and comfortable working with large amounts of data.
  • Ability to learn and work with complex concepts including standards, regulations, product design, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and manage overlapping work independently or in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong digital literacy, especially in spreadsheet development and analysis (SAP experience preferred).
  • Willingness to participate in international calls across time zones.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% (domestic and international) to manufacturing sites, business units, and meetings.
