Position Overview: This position will lead the strategy for organic social media and influencer partnerships across Zappos, driving awareness, engagement, and growth for prospective and current customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and Execute Social Media Strategy: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive organic social media strategies aligned with overall marketing and business objectives. Manage the agency responsible for content creation by delivering clear briefs, actionable feedback, and responsive collaboration.
• Build and Manage Influencer Partnerships: Manage the agency responsible for influencers and content creators. Strategize influencer collaborations that align with brand values and resonate with our customer base. Provide clear brand guidelines and effective troubleshooting.
• Content Creation and Campaign Management: Oversee two in-house staffers responsible for the creation of compelling social media content and campaigns that drive engagement, brand advocacy, and sales. Ensure consistency in brand voice, style, and messaging across all platforms.
• Performance Analysis and Optimization: Use agency reports, analytics tools and industry insights to track performance metrics, measure ROI, and optimize campaigns continuously. Provide regular reporting and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams to align social media and influencer strategies with broader business objectives and promotional activities. Collaborate across Amazon to find synergies where appropriate to scale Zappos’s efforts and efficiency.
• Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices in social media and influencer marketing. Leverage this knowledge to innovate and maintain our competitive edge.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience (8+ years) in social media marketing, with specific expertise in organic social media strategy and influencer marketing within an e-commerce environment.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a high-performing team.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing social media campaigns that drive engagement and business results.
• Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in social media analytics tools.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
This role is open to candidates physically located in the following metropolitan statistical areas: Las Vegas, NV; New York, NY; and Seattle, WA. Candidates who are not physically located in one of these areas may not be considered for this role.
The base pay range for this position is $124,500-$141,500 per year ; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, a full range of medical and other benefits is offered
