The Lead Operator is responsible for communicating and monitoring all required tasks as directed by the Shift Leader for their dedicated area of responsibility, ensuring all members of their team are following the appropriate procedures and processes in place.
As a Lead Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Being responsible for all operator’s functions within your dedicated area including responsibility for team during evacuations, or safety incidents / accidents
- Providing necessary on line training for the Operators
- Supporting Shift Leader in the management of resourcing levels
- Supporting the Shift Leader in disciplinary / grievance procedures on shift
- Being responsible for communicating targets, delegation of tasks through utilisation of the skill sets
- Motivating and supporting your team members
- Assisting the Shift Leader in leading and building the team
- Assisting the Shift Leader in coaching your team to encourage continuous improvement

- Have significant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Have proven experience managing teams
- Be organised, practical and hands-on
- Have sound communications skills, written and oral
