As part of the Operations Department, the Lead Nursery Supervisor will focus on the proper execution of field tasks to grow the best plants for our growers, ensuring on time, in full deliveries with the required qualities while gaining knowledge around our genetics to bring value to the entire region and enterprise.
This position will be based in Sidi Bouknadel, Morocco. Responsibilities
• Work with the Nursery Manager to implement best-growing practices and ensure the plants are grown to the highest possible standard
• Strive to innovate and adapt new growing techniques to improve the quality of the plants
• Supervising field tasks and leading the team of field workers
• Task and labor planning
• Keep track of relevant records, making sure that the equipment in the field is in working order, monitoring mechanical repairs so that they are carried out on time
• Support the Nursery Manager on the planning aspect to generate a clear work strategy for farming each crop each week
Candidate Profile• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in horticulture and people management required
• Experience with berry crops and substrate production is preferred
• Experience with horticulture crops
• Plant nursery experience
• 3-5 years people management experience required
• Leadership skills
• Language skills: English preferred, French Required
• Ability to navigate in the complexity of a large farming operation within the company
