The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using VB6, VB.NET, C#, and SQL.
- Develop and implement web applications, ensuring performance, scalability, and a user-friendly experience.
- Modernize legacy systems to align with current technologies and platforms.
- Lead application projects and provide technical direction and mentorship to junior developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Integrate applications with external systems through APIs and custom solutions.
- Customize existing applications to address evolving business needs.
- Optimize application performance using efficient coding practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Conduct regular code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain high code quality.
- Develop test plans and scripts to validate functionality and performance.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for all development efforts.
- Ensure clear documentation for knowledge transfer and ongoing maintenance.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in software development with a focus on application projects.
- Proficiency in SQL, VB6, VB.NET, and C#.
- Experience in web application development and modern web technologies.
- Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, from design to deployment.
- Expertise in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, using tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in modernizing legacy applications and migrating to newer platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and services (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
- Familiarity with database optimization and ETL processes.
- Relevant certifications in software development or specific technologies (e.g., Microsoft certifications).
