Job Summary:

Our client, a global manufacturing company, is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to drive the design, development, and continuous improvement of advanced electro-mechanical products within a collaborative and innovation-driven engineering environment. This role will lead mechanical design initiatives from concept through production while partnering closely with cross-functional teams to support product performance, manufacturability, quality, and ongoing product enhancements.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in mechanical product design, electro-mechanical assemblies, and SolidWorks, along with the ability to work across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams in a fast-paced industrial environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineering leader who enjoys solving technical challenges, supporting complex products, and driving continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.


Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.


Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, product design, or sustaining engineering environments.

• Proven background in designing electro-mechanical products and assemblies.

• Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks, including parts, assemblies, and engineering drawings.

• Hands-on involvement managing Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).

• Knowledge supporting products throughout the full product lifecycle, including sustaining engineering and manufacturing support.

• Ability to integrate mechanical systems with internal electronics such as PCBs, connectors, or cabling.

• Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Background within industrial manufacturing, instrumentation, or engineered product environments.


Knowledge:

• Mechanical product design and development methodologies.

• GD&T principles and tolerance analysis.

• Manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability concepts.

• Product lifecycle and sustaining engineering practices.

• Engineering drawings, documentation, and BOM structures.

• Root cause analysis and technical problem-solving methodologies.

• Electro-mechanical system integration principles.

• Familiarity with ERP or PLM systems such as SAP or similar platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical design and development of electro-mechanical products and assemblies.

• Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation using SolidWorks.

• Support products throughout the full lifecycle, including product improvements, sustaining activities, and manufacturing support.

• Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to support product updates and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure successful product integration and manufacturability.

• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of technical or production-related issues.

• Participate in design reviews, validation activities, and product improvement initiatives.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering team members when needed.

• Support prototype builds, supplier interactions, and production implementation activities.
