This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to use advanced mechanical design expertise on complex components for aerospace turbomachinery. The role supports the next generation of commercial platforms. The primary function is to act as lead engineer for gearbox design and development which guides the architecture, resolving technical problems, coordinating assignments for designers, collaborating with program leadership, and presenting to stakeholders. Interacting closely with project managers, analytical teams, and designers is important to meeting project deliverables and milestones. Demonstrate effective technical leadership to guide innovative designs to give Honeywell competitive advantages for the future. Understand and adhere to design requirements and practices, act with speed and accuracy for on-time execution. Listen to internal customer’s needs and drive burning platform initiatives to reduce cycle time and cost. Mentor less-experienced engineers.
The successful candidate will engage mainly in APU, Turboprop, and Turbofan product lines and will provide technical guidance for gearbox design and development.

- Act as an engine design lead to coordinate the efforts of gearbox design during the development phase or production support of a gas turbine engine.
- Imagine, design and develop products and systems as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team
- You will collaborate across Honeywell Aerospace engineering teams to create solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers
- You will participate in all phases of product development and will be a coach and mentor to less experienced engineers
