Position Overview

The Lead Market Access, Poland is leading the development and implementation of market access and reimbursement strategies to secure sustainable patient access to Exact Sciences’ diagnostics in Poland. The role requires a combination of strategic leadership in payer and policy engagement, hands-on execution of reimbursement submissions, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams (medical, commercial, marketing).

The Lead Market Access, Poland will serve as the single point of contact for market access activities in Poland, including interactions with the Ministry of Health (MoH), National Health Fund (NFZ), HTA agency, hospitals, and private payers. This role requires a proactive approach to shaping the reimbursement environment, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with Exact Sciences’ international market access strategy.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead the Development and implementation of national and regional market access and reimbursement strategies for Exact Sciences’ portfolio in Poland.
  • Lead the submissions process to the HTA agencies as well as pricing negotiations with MoH and NFZ.
  • Secure broad access to products at hospital and regional level in Poland through effective value communication well-tailored local strategy.
  • Adapt and implement global market access tools at a country level (health economic models, value tools).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with MoH, NFZ, HTA agencies, hospital administrators, clinicians, and private payers.
  • Become the single point of contact for Market Access strategic initiatives, projects and activities at a country level in collaboration with the local team.
  • Develop and implement corporate (pricing and contracting) policies and strategies with a bias for maximizing important resources include time, money, and return-on-investment. Support the commercial team with reimbursement guidance and problem-solving to facilitate uptake of Exact Sciences’ products.
  • Lead and leverage evidence generation initiatives (including local data to strengthen the clinical, economic and overall value proposition)
  • Monitor and interpret changes in reimbursement policies, regulations, and healthcare financing trends in Poland.
  • Identify and share market access learnings and best practices across countries and within the International Market Access and Reimbursement team.
  • Collaborate with international market access colleagues to ensure knowledge sharing and alignment with global strategies.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior management regarding opportunities, risks, and progress of market access initiatives in Poland.
  • Represent Exact Sciences at relevant stakeholder conferences, workshops, and industry meetings.
  • Prioritize and communicate the country specific market access needs and ensure that they are well captured in the International Market Access and Reimbursement plan.
  • Provide strategic thinking into products lifecycle and portfolio development

Technical Fluency/Job Requirements

  • Clear understanding of market related issues as well as local and global commercial strategies, priorities, and needs in a growing company.
  • Understanding of the disease area and EXACT SCIENCES products.
  • High degree of expertise in the Polish reimbursement and health care system as well as flexibility in adapting knowledge to other markets and geographies.
  • Strong communication skills that will assist Exact Sciences communication efforts to its internal and outside audiences, including International reimbursement agencies.
  • High energy individual that enjoys a fast pace and high risk/reward environment.
  • Ability to combine strategic vision with tactical hands-on execution and a high work capacity.
  • Proven ability of successfully managing complexity across multi-functional stakeholders and building strong relationships.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and drive to result with a high emphasis on quality.
  • Change oriented – able to adapt according to market dynamics and needs without losing strategic focus.
  • Team player with ability to display initiative.

Travel, Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Work location: Poland (preferably Warsaw).
  • Language: Native in Polish and fluent English
  • Travel Requirements: 30% Travel across Poland and occasionally internationally

Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree required with advanced degree in health economics, life sciences, business, public health or related discipline (e.g., MBA, MSc, MPH, MPA, PharmD).
  • Minimum 8 years or more of market access experience, in market access, reimbursement, or health economics within the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or medical device industry.
  • Deep understanding of the foundations of diverse health care systems throughout the world as well as payers’ environment.
  • Strong understanding of the Polish healthcare system, including NFZ processes, HTA evaluations, and reimbursement frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in successful reimbursement submissions and pricing negotiations in Poland. Solid track record in developing and executing Market Access strategies as well as successful reimbursement outcomes.
  • Proven ability to engage with policy makers, payers, clinicians, and healthcare institutions. Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills both written and oral.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to develop business cases, value dossiers, and economic arguments.
  • Strong negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in health economics, public health, business administration, or related discipline (e.g., MSc, MPH, PharmD).
  • Experience in molecular diagnostics or oncology.
  • Track record of driving innovative access solutions in complex or evolving regulatory environments.
  • Ability to integrate strategic thinking with hands-on execution and cross-functional collaboration.
