Are you a creative and experienced game enthusiast who is looking for an opportunity to make a real impact? Mob Entertainment is looking for a Lead Level Designer to join our team and take charge of the design for games.  We are looking for a passionate and driven individual who is excited to bring our projects to life. You must have a proven track record in game level design as well as in-depth knowledge game mechanics. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, a creative vision and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.If you have a passion for independent games and have the qualifications we’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you!

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and design levels for video games
  • Develop level layouts and gameplay mechanics in Unreal Engine
  • Create levels that are both visually appealing and challenging to play
  • Test and refine levels to ensure they meet high-quality standards and player satisfaction
  • Work closely with artists, programmers, and other team members to ensure cohesive game design
  • Continuously adapt to changing workflows and development processes
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in the gaming industry
  • Design gameplay levels, systems, and game mechanics
  • Work on new game ideas, work with other game designers on improving/finalizing their ideas.
  • Collaborate with writers to ensure narrative/story elements complement and support the game design.
  • Identify, offer feedback/solutions, and iterate on existing game design shortcomings.
  • Clearly communicate updates and concerns to their manager.
  • Transform high-level ideas into accurate, intelligible, and quantified specification.
  • Routinely collect feedback from user-testing, the development team and design management.
  • Identify solutions to expressed problems that won't negatively impact other systems or mechanics.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 5+ years industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or related field

  • Strong understanding of game mechanics and level design principles

  • Proficient in Unreal Engine and relevant software such as Maya or 3DS Max

  • Experience designing levels for video games

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Knowledge and experience with C/C++ or Blueprint scripting language
