Job Description:
About the Role:
We are seeking a Lead IT Business Architect to join our team in Oak Brook, IL. In this role, you will partner closely with IT and Supply Chain & Operations Finance to design and deliver innovative, scalable technology solutions that drive business performance.
This is a highly visible, strategic role where you will blend deep SAP expertise with strong business acumen to improve processes, optimize systems, and support critical financial and operational capabilities. You’ll work across cross-functional teams to lead complex initiatives—from solution design through implementation—while serving as a trusted advisor to both technical and business stakeholders.
You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
- Provide technical and functional expertise to identify, evaluate, and implement cost-effective system solutions aligned to business needs
- Analyze and challenge existing processes to drive efficiency and continuous improvement
- Configure and support SAP Product Cost Planning, including standard cost estimates
- Manage Cost Object Controlling, including production orders, process orders, and product cost collectors
- Implement and maintain Material Ledger and Actual Costing, including parallel and multi-currency valuation
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including WIP calculations, variance analysis, and settlement activities
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM), Finance (FI), and Sales & Distribution (SD) to ensure system integration and data accuracy
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for RICEFW objects, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows
- Lead unit, integration, and user acceptance testing activities to ensure quality implementation of solutions
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and serve as a subject matter expert in SAP CO-PC
- Develop and support KPIs, reporting, and analytics to drive business insights and decision-making
- Influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment and execution
- Performs other duties as assigned
Important Details:
- The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $127,000 - 190,600 USD annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs. For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award, bonus and equity pay.
- This is a full-time role on a hybrid schedule based out of our corporate office in Oak Brook, IL.
You’ll fit right in if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related field required
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in SAP FICO applications, including increasing scope and responsibility
- Strong expertise in SAP CO-PC, including integration with Finance (FI), Production Planning (PP), and Materials Management (MM), across ECC and S/4HANA environments
- Proven experience designing and implementing SAP Product Costing solutions in a manufacturing environment, including participation in SAP implementations
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, including standard cost, actual cost, and cost structures
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives and cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop KPIs and business insights
- Solid financial acumen, including knowledge of operations and plant accounting
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Experience with ERP systems, project management tools, and data/reporting solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
