Primary Objectives:

  1. Leadership & Team Management: Effectively lead and manage the offshore iOS development team to deliver high-quality, on-time projects.
  2. Technical Excellence & Best Practices : Set and enforce iOS development best practices, ensuring the highest standards in coding, architecture, and user experience.
  3. Collaboration & Cross-functional Alignment: Ensure technical solutions align with broader business goals by collaborating with product, design, and technical teams.
  4. Scalability & Innovation: Drive innovation and ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Prodege's long-term mobile development strategy.

  • Leadership & Team Management: Effectively lead and manage the offshore iOS development team to deliver high-quality, on-time projects.

    • Lead and Manage Offshore Team: Directly oversee the offshore developers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
    • Project Oversight: Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of features.
    • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain technical documentation and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Technical Excellence & Best Practices : Set and enforce iOS development best practices, ensuring the highest standards in coding, architecture, and user experience.

    • Set Technical Standards: Define and enforce iOS development best practices, including code architecture and performance optimization.
    • Code Reviews: Conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure adherence to coding guidelines and quality standards.
    • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with iOS development trends and integrate best practices into team workflows.
  • Collaboration & Cross-functional Alignment: Ensure technical solutions align with broader business goals by collaborating with product, design, and technical teams.

    • Design & Architecture: Collaborate with product and design teams to propose scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
    • Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with technical leads, product owners, and stakeholders for team and project alignment.
    • Project Oversight: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve any technical or project-related issues.
  • Scalability & Innovation: Drive innovation and ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Prodege's long-term mobile development strategy.

    • Design & Architecture: Ensure that technical solutions are scalable and aligned with the product vision.
    • Continuous Improvement: Encourage the adoption of emerging technologies and methodologies to keep the team ahead of industry trends.
  • Project Execution & Accountability: Oversee project execution, ensuring timely delivery and transparent reporting to senior leadership.

    • Project Oversight: Monitor project timelines and progress, ensuring that goals are met.
    • Documentation & Reporting: Provide comprehensive project updates, track offshore team performance, and identify potential risks.

The Lead, iOS Software Developer will establish and maintain high technical standards, ensuring robust code architecture and performance optimization, while fostering continuous improvement across the team. Effective cross-functional collaboration will ensure alignment between technical and business objectives, driving seamless project execution. Timely delivery of key projects, accompanied by clear communication and reporting to senior leadership, will also be key markers of success. Overall, innovation, quality, and the team's ability to stay ahead of industry trends will reflect a successful performance in this role.

The MUST Haves: (ex: job cannot be done without these skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses)

  • Five or more (5+) years of experience in iOS development, with a strong understanding of Swift, Objective-C, and the iOS ecosystem.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing offshore teams.
  • Expertise in design patterns, iOS frameworks, and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
  • Strong experience in code review and setting coding standards for quality, security, and maintainability.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Trello for project management.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and App Store deployment processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, balancing technical and business needs.

The Nice to Haves: (preferred additional skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of study is preferred.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and backend integration.
  • Prior work with offshore teams in a distributed development environment.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure like AWS or GCP.

Pay Transparency

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to; the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, the type and length of knowledge and skills for the position, education, training, etc. Prodege is a multi-state employer and final compensation within this range could be impacted by work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

Prodege offers a comprehensive benefits package to US Full-time employees including medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD and basic life insurance. Employees receive flexible PTO, as well as paid sick leave prorated based on hire date. US Employees have eight paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees receive an option to purchase shares of Company stock commensurate with their position, which vests over four years.
