About the roleAs Lead Hardware Design Engineer at Sorcerer you’ll be expected to rapidly prototype avionics and sensing systems. You’ll own projects through design, ground-testing, manufacture and flight-testing.
Initially, you’ll work closely with our CTO - later building a team of your own as we grow. If this sort of thing interests you we’d love to meet you!
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop stratosphere-hardened systems
End-to-end ownership of PCB design, bringup, testing, integration, and documentation
Collaborate closely with software and mechanical engineers
Support flight-testing campaigns, debugging technical issues in real-time
6+ years of experience designing hardware end-to-end in industry
Experience with analog and digital circuit design and testing
Experience with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, LTSpice)
Have experience designing for space or high-altitude systems
Have written embedded software in an RTOS (Zephyr, FreeRTOS)
Can navigate MCAD software (OnShape, Fusion, SolidWorks)
Succeed with a high level of autonomy
Aren’t afraid of scrappy, unconventional problem solving

Compensation Range: $145K - $200K
