Primarily Responsibilities:
- Earth Structures & Foundations: Design, construction, and finite element analysis. Perform geotechnical analysis, design calculations, and ensure soil stability for heavy civil projects
- Marine Structural Foundations: Pile driving analysis, dynamic pile testing, CAPWAP. Collaborate with structural engineers to create complementary foundation designs
- Heavy-Lift Foundations: Evaluate soil and rock properties, load-bearing capacity, and ground improvement. Address environmental impacts and ensure sustainable practices
- General Geotechnical: Collect data, analyze slope stability, manage groundwater, and assess geotechnical risks. Use tools like AutoCAD for design and decision-making
- Project Management: Assist with proposals, reports, and project phases. Coordinate tasks, review junior staff work, and ensure high-quality deliverables
- Field Work & Construction Support: Prepare design calculations, coordinate field work, provide construction observations, and perform site visits to analyze data
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years with an engineering consulting firm performing civil engineering work with a geotechnical focus in heavy civil design and construction
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field
- Certification: Professional Engineering Certification (PE)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field
