Job Description

Purpose of the role

To monitor the performance of operational controls, implement and manage security controls and consider lessons learnt in order to protect the bank from potential cyber-attacks and respond to threats. 

Accountabilities

  • Management of security monitoring systems, including intrusive prevention and detection systems, to alert, detect and block potential cyber security incidents, and provide a prompt response to restore normal operations with minimised system damage.
  • Identification of emerging cyber security threats, attack techniques and technologies to detect/prevent incidents, and collaborate with networks and conferences to gain industry knowledge and expertise.
  • Management and analysis of security information and event management systems to collect, correlate and analyse security logs, events and alerts/potential threats.
  • Triage of data loss prevention alerts to identify and prevent sensitive data for being exfiltrated from the banks network.
  • Management of cyber security incidents including remediation & driving to closure.

Join us as Senior Manager, CyberFraud Investigations at Barclays, where you will spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. You'll harness innovative technology to revolutionize our digital offerings, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences. In your VP, CyberFraud Investigations role, you’ll be analysing and mitigating potential fraud threats through working with multiple teams across the bank to deliver control changes and process enhancements to safeguard our customers and clients from fraud. The work you do will have a direct tangible impact for Barclays and our customers.

To be successful in your role as Senior Manager, CyberFraud Investigations, you must have:

  • Direct experience performing multi-faceted economic crime investigations in Cyber, Fraud, AML, or KYC operational areas

  • Direct experience collecting analysing and assessing cyber-fraud intelligence from Internal, OSINT, Vendor, and industry partner sources

  • Direct experience using investigative tools to analyse and resolve fraud or economic crime events.  Such as link analysis tools, transaction analysis tools, customer information systems and other tools/systems

  • Direct experience working and managing a multi-layered environment with multiple stakeholders and collaborating teams

Other highly valued skills include:

  • Knowledge of malicious tools used by cyber adversaries to target the financial sector including but not limited to eBanking Trojans, POS/ATM malware, mobile malware, webinjects, and phishing kits

  • Previous experience overseeing or managing a sub team of analysts or investigators analysing fraud or economic crime events

  • Experience working with external vendors to enhance the use of existing tools or evaluate potential new tools

  • Previous experience of Cyber Threat Intelligence methodologies such as investigative pivoting models, investigative frameworks, as well as MITRE ATT&CK, and the Extended Cyber Kill Chain

  • ICA Certificate/CAMS Certification or Degree/Diploma in Criminal Justice or similar area of study

This role is based in Henderson, Nevada.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

Minimum Salary: $160,000.00

Maximum Salary: $200,000.00

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
