- Assist with the identification, documentation and resolution of accounting or financial control related issues.
- Own the preparation of key monthly and quarterly reviews as assigned by the Sr. Manager of Controllership. Appropriately address opportunities identified during reviews.
- Provide guidance and support to region affiliate during the monthly close process. Monitor close progress and partner with area leaders to help ensure a timely and accurate close.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis, reconciliations and reporting.
- Review unique and non-recurring transactions for US GAAP compliance.
- Coordinate between global business services teams, corporate and local finance support teams to support. controllership-related and other projects.
- Help implement new accounting standards and other transformative finance projects (historical examples include lease accounting, ERP rollout, acquisition accounting).
- Assist with compiling and review of internal and external reporting schedules.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Drive integration of accounting with acquired entities, provide support to help acquired entities succeed.
Role Requirements
- 5 to 7 years' experience in accounting and/or controllership functions. Audit experience, especially Big 4, a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA, MAcc, and/or CPA is a plus
- Demonstrated US GAAP accounting knowledge
- Strong organizational skills: high attention to detail, consistent follow through
- Strong ERP, MS Office and Excel skills; experience with SAP and Group Reporting a plus
