We are Emma – The Sleep Company. Founded in 2015, we have grown into the world’s largest direct-to-consumer (D2C) sleep brand, with a presence in over 20 markets and more than 35 Emma stores across Europe.

Our mission is simple: to develop sleep comfort products that empower our customers to awaken their best every day. Today, our products are trusted by millions and recommended by leading consumer associations worldwide.

It’s our people who bring this mission to life. At Emma, you’ll join a driven, international team that values ownership, collaboration, and continuous knowledge sharing. With colleagues from over 70 nationalities, we combine diverse perspectives with a shared ambition to learn, grow, and create lasting impact, together.

Ready to awaken your best with us?

We are looking for an experienced Lead ERP Finance Solution Architect to shape and evolve the financial backbone of our ERP landscape while leading a team of Functional Managers. You'll be a key expert on our ERP systems: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management and Business Central, owning the end-to-end solution design for finance-related processes and at the same time leading, coaching and developing a team of Functional Managers who deliver day-to-day within their domains.

This is a senior role combining strong functional expertise with people leadership. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering and Finance teams, to design, build and continuously improve robust and scalable ERP finance solutions across Emma’s markets, while mentoring a highly motivated team that owns their domains independently.

What you'll do:

  • Solution Design & Functional Architecture: own the end-to-end solution design for finance-related processes in MS Dynamics 365, recommending best practices and ensuring we fully leverage the standard ERP functionalities, keeping solutions scalable, compliant and aligned with Emma's target operating model.
  • Translate business needs into practical designs: execute workshops, including in-depth analysis sessions, in collaboration with a team of Business Consultants to refine and validate solution designs.
  • Push back where needed to keep the solution simple and closer to Ms Dynamics standard.
  • Guide delivery: direct the configuration of the ERP finance modules and coordinate developers, functional consultants and implementation partners through implementation, keeping quality high and the design intact.
  • Set up and maintain governance across configuration management, environments, sandbox strategy, testing and release management, with design decisions documented, signed off and traceable.
  • Lead and grow the Functional Managers team through coaching and clear feedback. Provide functional leadership and mentor team members in best practices and emerging technologies helping them confidently own their domains.
  • Keep Emma’s ERP Platforms future-ready: stay ahead of D365 FSCM & BC releases and new capabilities. Support Version upgrade cycles and shape the long-term roadmap with Product and Engineering. Drive continuous improvement on how the platform and the team operate. Find what can be simplified, standardized, or automated.

What we're looking for:

  • Deep D365 Finance expertise: several years as a Solution Architect or Senior Functional Consultant on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (and ideally also Business Central), with strong depth in the Finance modules General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank Management, Tax, and financial reporting.
  • Implementation track record: several full lifecycle FSCM (and/or BC) implementations, migrations, or major rollouts delivered across multiple markets and industries. Experience in the retail industry is a big advantage.
  • Leadership experience: you've led Functional Managers or senior consultants before, and built teams that confidently own their domains
  • Finance foundations: solid, end-to-end understanding of Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash and how they map to standard D365 Finance functionality.
  • Clear communicator: you can switch between finance language and technology and write good solution design documents.
  • Agile delivery: you've worked with agile methods in enterprise environments.
  • Nice to have:

  • Experience with Business Central alongside FSCM is a big plus.
  • Exposure to common FSCM and/or BC ISV solutions (e-invoicing, tax, banking, credit management).
  • Familiarity with AI/ML and Copilot capabilities in the Microsoft stack.
  • Hands-on experience with interfaces between D365 and other systems (APIs, integration patterns, data flows).
  • Microsoft certifications in D365 Finance (e.g. MB-310, MB-700).
  •
    What´s in for you!
  • Flexibility: Our Technology team's remote work policy allows for great flexibility. (Please note that the role requires being based in Portugal or Germany)
  • A senior role owning a critical part of Emma's ERP, with real influence on how we run finance.
  • The chance to build and lead a strong Functional Managers team.
  • The opportunity to modernize a global ERP landscape on Microsoft technology.
  • An international, diverse team that values autonomy, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Competitive compensation and flexible working arrangements.

What we offer:

  • Maturing Scale-Up: We’re part of the 13–20% of start-ups that transition to scale-up. This is a rare stage where we refine systems without losing agility. It’s where start-up energy meets scalable impact - and where people can build the next version of Emma.
  • Empowerment to Impact: Every Emmie owns part of our success with accountability. It’s about seeing it, owning it, doing it – something that is valued and measured in development.
  • Growth & Learning Journey: We live by the 70/20/10 model – with 70% on the job, 20% from others, 10% structured training. We invest in your growth with trainings and coaching to get you to the top of your game.
  • Emma-zing Community: We hire selectively which means working with smart, collaborative people who care deeply. It’s a community built by Emmies for Emmies.
  • Next Level Global: With 60+ nationalities across 4 offices, global collaboration is part of our values. You’ll work across cultures, perspectives, and time zones.
  • Flexibility: Our Technology team's remote work policy allows for great flexibility. (Please note that the role requires being based in Portugal or Germany)

Become an Emmie
